Only 6 days until Carter is officially home! I have been counting the days on social media and with each day getting closer I am trying to prepare, but until then we still have other things going on! Like FOOTBALL!!! Today is the black and silver game and luau! It's a HUGE fundraiser and requires many hands to make it work! We are excited to go and excited to watch the boys scrimmage!
Even MORE excited to play on a brand new field!!! Over the summer the old was ripped out, and the football players got to assist with that part, and then they put down all new field and track! It is SOOOO nice!!!
We were also glad they changed the logo in the center. Now we are ready to play!!
Once they were out on the field it was time to PLAY!!! It was only a scrimmage but Will played quite a bit. So fun to see him out there!
We love the new jerseys too! But I couldn't believe how TIGHT they are! Sometimes he has a hard time getting it off once it's on! Haha! But that's a good thing!
Go Will go!!!
Watching the scrimmage it's tough to tell how they are really doing. As fun as it is to see them out on the field we were ALL anxious to see how they'd play against a tough opponent!
It just got us more excited for next week!! Until then.... bring on the luau!!
A few of the Moms made this! Can you believe it! So amazing... and YUMMY!!
All of the food was super good and always is! We have some talented families that know how to cook some authentic polynesian food. Just incredible pork etc.
The Skinners bought a couple tickets and came with us to the luau to eat. I'm sure the cute boys were just an added bonus! Haha!
We had fun eating and visiting and also watching the entertainment!
There were dancers and other performers that came to put on a show. They were really good too!
But my favorite part was the boys doing the haka dance! I snapped this picture of them practicing in the hallway before going up on stage to perform. It's amazing to see a team come together every year. Upperclassmen leave, new ones come in and the coaching staff knows how to turn the older kids into leaders and help them create the atmosphere that fosters champions. This coaching staff in particular is truly amazing. It's been so fun to watch them so far and we can't wait to see what this season brings!
