For Chan's birthday (May 19-22, 2016) he requested we do a St George getaway for the weekend and I NEVER say no to THAT! So we jumped in the truck with our kids and doggies and off we went! My favorite thing about St George is it's unique mountains. From pine view mountains to the red rocks. It's just gorgeous!
Since Tammy got a new dog she takes him to the dog park daily, he just needs the exercise! So when we came down we decided to take our pups to see if they like it! Besides the dog park near her home is really nice and a fun place to sit and visit.
Our Duke and Vlad LOVED the dog park! We even got them to play fetch with a ball for a while! It was fun! We ended up taking them a couple other times before we left. I wish our dog park was this nice- unfortunately it's just a dirt/gravel pit :(
I am so blessed to have this sweet man in my life. This is the perfect picture of him! He is ALWAYS smiling and happy and continues to have a good attitude about life no matter what is handed to him! It's my favorite quality about him! The beginning of this year was especially tough with his back issues but he NEVER complained. Just handled each challenge head on and made it work! He amazes me every day!
He requested we all go see the new avengers movie Civil War to celebrate! Good call too because it was an excellent movie! You can't go wrong with Captain America and Iron man!
We were glad Matt was able to make it too! Yay! In addition to the movie we also went to Home Depot to visit Matt at work and check out some stuff there and also had a BBQ and invited Kay over to eat with us and visit. It was fun.
Desert Gardens is also a must now. We go there pretty much every time we visit our favorite town. It has the BEST view by far of the whole city. We really hope that one day when the kids are grown that we can move back here. We talk about it more and more every year! I guess we'll have to wait and see what's in store for us! We actually drove around this time looking for where we'd want to go if we did move here. It's a tough call! We love the area over by Snow Canyon but we also love the new area out by Washington Fields. Right now it doesn't matter because St George is growing so quickly that by the time we want to move here it could be completely different! Haha!
When your at Home Depot in the garden Dept it's a must to take selfies! Hahaha! Can you imagine how dull life would be if you didn't goof off once in a while! Thank heavens our family likes to laugh and play! So glad we got to get away for a couple days to celebrate Chan. Truly he deserves an expensive getaway to a 5 star resort, but since our finances won't allow it, at least we went to our favorite local spot! I love you Chan! Happy Birthday!
