Never falls "FLATT"

Boy oh boy am I a lucky girl!!! Chan bought tickets for me and him to go to the Rascall Flatts concert last night- it was a gift for me for Valentines Day/ my birthday. Well "juror #5" was deliberating and called me about 2 hours before the concert and said he couldn't go. :( To say I was bummed was an understatement!!! I was just going to take Carter with me, but he suggested I call Brittany to see if she could go....... so I did....... she was supposed to go to her college class but would you say no to floor seats at a concert versus going to school? Neither did she!!!!

We decided to go get some grub at Applebee's before hand (and she treated- thanks Brit!!) and then we were off to see Rascall Flatts!! We were both mad at ourselves for forgetting our cameras, but thanks to photobucket I found some for your pleasure! We had some trouble finding where to go to get to our seats, but went from one usher to another, who just kept guiding us downward to yet another usher- etc etc etc. Once we got to this last usher, where I truly thought our tickets were, he pointed us to yet another guy who he said would give us bracelets so we could go down. DID HE JUST SAY DOWN??!!! Yip, that's right, we were right on the floor next to the stage!!!! I have NEVER been so close at a concert before- and neither had Brit- she said she thought it was only for celebrities and winners of the radio contests!! It all started out with Jessica Simpson- who did a great job- then it was a bit of a break and then.....

THERE THEY WERE!!!! In this photo- had it been Salt Lake- you would have seen Brit and I in a similar shot- screaming of course!! At one point we did actually TOUCH a couple of the guys! They were incredible- they never fell "Flatt" on ANY of their songs! In fact they are better in person- always a sign of an incredible band. It was an amazing concert!!! They can definitely put on an amazing show- and thanks again to Brit for coming along last minute to share it with me- it was a blast!! Can't wait to do it again sometime- thanks Chan for an AWESOME gift!! I love ya!

Boys night out with Papa

All I can say to this is OH MAN!!!! My boys are stinking lucky! Their Grandpa (Papa) has been a season ticket holder for the Jazz for over 20 years- so with that he will occasionally get some perks. Well he got a major one on Monday night that he shared with Carter, Will and their cousin Dakota. They went early before the game and along with 1 other person got to meet ALL the players and the coach, have them autograph their hats (that Papa also bought them before going in) and take a few photos with them!! They spent about an hour watching the team warm up and getting their hats signed before going to their usual seats and watching the game. And of course- they won! It was a HUGE day for them. It took me about a half hour to get them calm enough to go to bed! And I am sure they had dreams about it too! It was truly a magical night and they owe their Papa big time for sharing it with them! Grandparents are the best aren't they? WOW!! GO JAZZ!! Carter had my camera and got the few shots I put in here and Tom brought me over a picture CD with some more- so I may add more photos later from their big night! Keep an eye out!

Juror #5

Yes - that's right- this is juror #5!! A couple of weeks ago Chan was asked to come in to serve on a federal jury, and as it goes you come in early morning along with around 65 other people and they select people to serve on a jury. Well Chan was one of the lucky ones!! The fifth one chosen as a matter of fact! The funny part is it is NOT a short case! He is in his second week and he has at least 2 more to go!! But he is handling it the best he can, the only tough part is NOT talking about it! But I have to say he's doing a great job! Pretty funny the things we are asked to do isn't it?! And I may be biased but I think he is a pretty darn cute juror don't you?!! :D

Girls night out!!!

Here is Brianne and I off to the movie theater for our "Girls night out"!! We have been saying for at least a week that we were going to go to see Confessions of a Shopaholic together when it came out. well today being a holiday we figured it was a good day. we tried to go with our Skinner girlfriends, but they went earlier in the day. But we found a time that worked for us and off we went!!

Here is Brianne in the theater waiting for the show to start. She got her mug of root beer and some yummy Hershey kissables, and I had my popcorn and Mr Pibb- we were READY!

Needless to say we LOVED the movie!! It was way fun! Brianne loved the talking mannequins and I loved.......well........ all of it really!! It was a cute movie, but truly my favorite part was spending time with Brianne- we had a blast! :)

Brianne & Will's V-Day parties

So I am a sucker for the kids- they want me to be there for their class parties and it is hard for me to say no! Especially for Brianne it is her first grade year and I want it to be a memorable one! So here is Brianne at the cookie table- where they got to decorate sugar cookies and eat them!
Here is a picture of her with her classmates- I helped at this table the whole time. Giving kids sprinkles and juice- it was fun:)
Here is Brianne passing out her valentines. She had so much fun- and doesn't she look cute in her new shirt?!! :)
Here is Will at the cookie table in his class- that's right I did the same thing in both classes! It's okay it was easy and fun to watch these kids down a huge cookie in such a short amount of time!
Here I am with Will- I forgot to take one with Brianne, but her class was a bit more hectic! The 4th graders were way easier!! But I guess they were used to the routine- the cookie decorating is a tradition at their school for Valentines so they were all ready for it! :)

Happy Valentines Day to you...

Here are the kids on Friday before Valentines Day. Chan and I on occasion will get the kids each a little something from us- nothing major as you'll see- but still fun to give! :) Here they are getting ready to open their things!
Here they are tearing into them- the don't waste any time there!!
This is Carter being his usual silly self with his new Jazz shirt. He is going to a game with his Dad pretty soon, so I figured it would be a good idea!
Here is Will with his new scripture bag! I know it seems like a strange thing to give him but it was something he had been requesting, so why not!! he was exited!
Here is Brianne with her cute new shirt! I wanted her to be able to wear it on the day they did their Valentine party at school. She loved it!!

Will as iron chef...

So on Friday afternoon Will came upstairs and notified us that he and his Dad would be having a cooking contest! They were both to make a breakfast for the judges (myself and Brianne) and Carter would be the host! Well we couldn't say no to that!!!! Chan and I went to the grocery to get the items they would both need and then it was on!! Chan got up early Saturday morning and helped Will get his going and also helped him with some secret ingredients to make his extra special! Here is Chan assisting Will with his eggs.

Here is Will cooking those special eggs!
Here is Will putting the finishing touches on his "volcano eggs"! They consisted of scrambled eggs with cheese and cilantro with either ketchup or salsa to finish it off. They were very YUMMY! I could eat those every day!!
He also had some bacon that he cooked in the microwave and some canned whole potatoes that he helped cut and cook in oil till they were nice and brown!

All the judges (and the host) thoroughly enjoyed his breakfast!! Chan made his on Sunday morning and it was breakfast burritos, but we all decided that Will was the winner! He is the iron chef of the Crismon home! You go Will!! You can cook for me anytime! My guess is he is going to take after his Dad! :D

Brianne's 100th day of school...

Every year the kids elementary school celebrates the 100th day of school. This year Brianne got to do it! She took in 100 star beads and got to count them and she tells me that she is also gluing them on some art project. I will be anxious to see that! But she also got to make these lovely 100 glasses that she was wearing proudly when she got home!
Had to get a photo of her with them on! Too funny!

I love my kids...

Here is my sweet Brianne! She is such a fun kid! I swear sometimes I should put her into acting school because her drama is "all that"!! But on the other hand she is one of my most thoughtful kids- she is always making us notes and telling us how much she loves us. I love her to death and can't believe how long her hair is getting! Crazy! But she wants it to be really long so she's doing great! And she is doing so well is school- I am glad that she is enjoying so much! :D
Here is my Will! He has such an incredible sense of humor- I love the things he says and does- a lot of you have heard some of the stories (like the one I recently put on this blog). He is one that even if I am having a poop day he will get home and say hi and all the crap is washed away! (really all of them can do that :) He is a talented kid- especially his creative writing! Some of the things he comes up with are amazing! He even has a binder in his room that he writes his stories in- and sometimes he draws pictures to go along with them. Too cute!
Here is my big Bubba Carter! He is the biggest of the kids but is the sweetest one. He takes such great care of me- always checking on me and asking if I need anything. On top of that this kid is a hugger!!!! He LOVES to give hugs and I love that! He is also my kid that smiles all the time- sometimes even when he is in trouble which can be infuriating! But his scout leader calls him Grinner which I think fits him perfectly! He is just a genuinely happy kid! He is growing up so fast- seems like it's faster than the other two- but I am very proud of him! he's an awesome kid and a fabulous big brother! :D

How lucky are we!! Our kids are the BEST!!!
