After Chan's back surgery in February he was doing really great and getting back to normal. In March he had a fall on our back deck and we were worried he may have done some damage. So we went in almost immediately to get it checked out and everything looked just fine. But around the end of April the nerve pain he had been experiencing prior to the initial surgery seemed to be coming back. So on May 3rd he went in to visit his doctor to get it looked at. Unfortunately, the upper disc that had been replaced had slipped and was resting on his nerve which was causing his pain. And as much as we really didn't want to, another surgery was necessary to fix it. He scheduled it for May 12th and it was an outpatient procedure. We arrived at the hospital at 6am and didn't leave until 6pm!! It was a very long day! But the doctor was able to go in and tap the spacer back in place and tighten everything up. Here's hoping this is only a minor set back on his road to recovery!
