Brianne was scheduled to sing again at the Salt Lake Bee's game again on April 23rd. So we planned to meet Tom and Kathy at Iggy's to have dinner before heading up to the game. Earlier that day while at work I began to wonder if it was going to happen. It was raining....A LOT... and would let up only to have more rain come in harder. When I went home after work we continued with our plan because we hadn't heard otherwise. So we got all ready, Brianne put on her new Bee's shirt I had purchased for her and once we were all ready left for dinner. We had a great time at dinner and enjoyed catching up with Gamma and Papa before getting in our cars and heading north. As we got on the freeway the rain was persisting and looking north was only getting more loomy. We got there only to find out that the game had been cancelled due to the weather. We were super bummed. But then I received an email from them asking her to sing on July 23rd!! WHAT?!!! That's EVEN BETTER!! That was going to be a BIG game with a huge firework show afterward to celebrate pioneer day! YES!! So even though we were sad, we were super excited for that game and felt MUCH better than the weather would be AWESOME!
Since the game was a bust, Chan and I took the kids home and decided to go to the Toyota dealership. We had been leasing his Tacoma and loving it but they kept sending us offers via email and phone to lease a new one. So we thought what the heck! Let's go check it out! So we ended up spending a few hours there and walked out having signed a NEW lease for a brand new Toyota Tacoma paying LESS than we had before! Can't beat that right?!! Now we just had to wait for it to arrive! It was on a truck on it's way to us shortly after and we picked it up on May 9th. We LOVE IT!!
Such a funny day from Bees game to car lot! Sometimes things just work out for the best!
