I had a wonderful experience at church today. Don't you just love it when you leave church and feel like you just had a feast of spirituality!! That's what I had today! I was fortunate enough to sing a fabulous song called "Beautiful Savior" with our Relief Society women during our sacrament meeting which brought a huge lump to my throat because it was sung beautifully and the words are so fantastic!! Then I went to teach my Sunday school class of 14-15 year olds and they listened and took part in hearing all about Abraham's Covenant-which was great. And to finish it all off I got to hear a wonderful lesson on belief and faith that there is a God. It was a great lesson on faith and how sometimes the world can deter us from what we know to be true because they need to "see" instead of have "faith". A story was told of a man who was getting his hair and beard trimmed at the barber and the man doing it was talking to him about how he was an atheist and did not believe that a God would allow there to be people hungry, sick or otherwise afflicted. The man in the chair did believe in God but didn't know how he could sway this other man's opinion so he paid the man and left the shop. When he got outside there was a man sitting on the curb with long straggly dirty hair and a long mangy beard, obviously he had not seen a barber in years. So the man walked back inside and approached the barber and said he did not believe that barbers existed because that man outside has terrible hair and beard- to which the man replied of course there is I just cut and trimmed your beard and hair, that man has just never come to me. Then the other man said "exactly". Such a great lesson!!! We have to come to the Lord and WANT Him to be a part of our lives. So, as I said before, I left church today feeling uplifted and ready to begin my week! I also got a very cute handout I have to share with you it said:
God is like Snickers...
He satisfies ya.
God is like Diet Pepsi...
He's the right one, uh huh.
God is like Tide...
He removes the stains that others leave behind.
God is like Ivory soap...
100% pure.
God is like Allstate...
You're in good hands with Him.
God is like Dial soap...
Aren't you glad you know Him?
Don't you wish everyone did?
God is like Tylenol cold medicine...
He is the strength you need from the name you trust.
God is like Energizer Batteries...
His love keeps going and going.
God is like Bayer aspirin...
He works wonders.
And finally, God is like a Hallmark Card...
He cares enough to send His very best.
Goes to show you can find the Lord in whatever you do! Hope this uplifted you too and helps you to have a great start to your week as well!

The first shave...
Superbowl 2010!
This year we spent the superbowl with Chan's family up at his parents home. They were the best place since they have a fabulous basement with a theater room! Not to mention with Chan's sister's and their families and ours there is a lot of us! I made a chart for a "pool" and we all brought some yummy food to munch on and we sat back and enjoyed each others company while watching the game! None of us were big fans of either team- but it was a wonderful game and we had a great time!! :)
