Here we go again...

Yip that's right it's time for football again!! This week Will and Carter are both in tryouts and because I can't be at two places at once I only have photos of Will, but I am sure I will be getting some of Carter soon.
In Will's age group there are 150 kids all trying out to be placed on 7 teams! And in Carter's group there are around 110 kids all trying out for a spot on 6 teams!! It's such a huge league here, but I tell ya it's the BEST!!! GO ALTA HAWKS!!!
All week they run them through all kinds of drills but Monday and Tuesday they don't wear their pads, but today is the big hitting day!!!! They are both so ready to get out there and show what they've got! I am so proud of both of them, but can't wait for this week to be over and for them to be drafted onto a great team!! As soon as I know- you all will know! Good luck my boys!!! :)

DANCING QUEEN

A couple of nights ago we had the pleasure of going to see "Arrival" from Sweden who sing all the music of ABBA! I have to say that until I met Chan I had never heard of ABBA, but it was a MAJOR part of his growing up life and he LOVES their music! After many boat trips and listening to their greatest hits CD in the car with Chan I am now a fan too!
We went with 12 other people from Chan's family- this is a shot of his Aunt Jenny and her daughter Danni, his sister Annie, Dakota and her fiance Gerardo
Here is the picture of the two lead singers- they were amazing!! And their costumes were exact replica's of the original group!
We took little Brianne with us too! She LOVES their music!! She was dancing the night away!
Here's another shot of the same group above
Here's a picture of Brooke and Mark- we were so glad that Brooke was able to make it- she is due anytime!! But this concert was her idea!!
Here is Chan's Mom and Dad- I told them to act like they liked each other and Tom pulled that face! Pretty funny!
Here is Chan with his Daddy-O
Me and Chan enjoying the music!
Here is a shot of the whole group- kinda a tough shot to get at night!

Chan and Brianne right before we left the concert- they were two very happy customers! If I hadn't known beforehand I would have sworn that they were the real deal! It was awesome! And the video below was the very last song of the night- can you guess it? Yip it was Dancing Queen!! I think you can hear Chan's voice over the band!! HA HA!! This is his and Brianne's FAVORITE ABBA song!! :) This was so fun and a great way to spend a summer night!!

My sister and her family came out for two weeks from the end of June through about the 9th of July and during that time we tried to fit in as much fun as possible!! So the following slide shows are from our many adventures while they were here! This one above is when we went to the Oquirrh Temple open house. It was beautiful and it was fun to be able to go all together- a fun memory!

This is a favorite spot each time my sister and her family come out- it's the Willow Creek pool! It's so fun because they still have fun diving boards and lots of chairs to sit and get some sun! :)

Carter's camp- it was a blast!!

Scout camp is a new adventure for our family- the last two years Carter has missed it due to football and vacations so this year he was pretty exited!! And to top it off he was asked to be the Senior Patrol leader back in February so he was able to lead his fellow scouts!! Here is his self portrait in his uniform :)
Here he is with some of the boys from his troop
This is a sign from the camp they were at
This is their troop sign that has all their initials in it
This is their camp site. They have some pretty nice tents!! :)
Here is a shot of the landscape where they were- not too shabby!
He is totally my son- he knows I love this kind of picture!! A picture of him by the sign of the camp! What a stud!!
This is a picture of the small lake that was up there. They did their kayaking and swimming there.
This picture made the laugh and freak out!! That is a huge saw!! But these are some of the things they get to experience at camp.
I LOVE this picture! I was amazed at this one!! He said this was what their camp site looked like each morning. The smoke from the fire was in the trees and the sunrise would peek through and cause the shadows to fall on the ground. It's a beautiful picture!!
OUCH!! So on Thursday of the week he was gone I got a call that evening from Carter's troop leader saying they were at the hospital - yeah hospital!! He was earning his whittling badge when oops the brand new (very sharp) knife cut into his left index finger!! And yip it was deep enough it needed three stitches- way to go dude!!
But all in all it was a very fun trip and he had an awesome time! Thanks to all the leaders who put up with all these boys and who managed to drive over 2 and a half hours with them all smelly to get them home! They deserve a medal!! And I think this will be something to look forward to next year- hopefully with no hospital visits!! :)
