First Day of school 2010

I am still in shock over how quickly the summer flew by!! I am guessing it's because we stay so busy and did so many fun things this summer- we are truly blessed! Here's some pics of the kids in their first day of school outfits! So cute!
I can't believe how much I lucked out finding that cute headband to match Brianne's darling outfit! LOVE IT!! Brianne is starting 3rd grade this year! I walked her to her line and stood with her until the bell rung. I gave her lots of hugs and she even wanted me to walk in to her room with her! At least I still have one kid who wants me to STAY with them! So cute!
Will picked out his outfit from Target- a new line by Shawn White! That monster thing on the front of his shirt is the logo for his brand- pretty cool!
Will is getting to be quite a little "man"! He is starting 6th grade this year and I could tell. I got to walk him to where he lined up and then I got a pat on the shoulder and a "I'm okay Mom"- in other words- "you can go now!" But I am so excited for him and his 6th grade year!
I am still in denial that I have a child going into 9th grade!! It just doesn't seem real!! But looking at Carter it's pretty obvious that he's getting big! (and handsome too!!)
This was the first year in a while that he was truly excited to go back to school! It's his last year in middle school and he's in that oldest group which always feels good! And as for him- well dropping him off in front of the school is good enough! But he did ask me something funny last night- he asked me how I am going to take his first day of school pictures (when they hold up their grade on their hands) when he is in high school? I told him I would make him a sign! Pretty funny! And I do still take ones like that, but I didn't put those up on here this year. I am just plainly a VERY proud Mom of three amazing kids! Good luck guys!! :)

Black and White game

Every year the Alta High Football team puts on a big fundraiser called the Black and White game. Basically it's just scrimmages between the Sophomore/JV team and the JV/Varsity teams. But this year they added these blow up jump things to the usual silent auction, food and other booths. In this picture- you can see Brianne and Will talking with a friend :)

Brianne is such a cute sister! She got all geared up in her brothers old jersey and I did her hair with her cheer bows from last year! She was ready to go!! And she INSISTED we buy her a spirit pack that had hand clappers, megaphone, poms, beads and all in a nice little bag! She is good to go to get her CHEER on!!

Will is a pretty proud brother too! I think he is LOVING having an older brother that plays for the high school! But on this night I think he was more about the treats and FUN!

Carter is not a starter, so we weren't expecting much play time but were pleasantly surprised! He was in for a long time! On the very first play they put him in the team scored their first touchdown!! (yeah....totally because of MY kid right.....hee hee) It was so strange to be sitting in the high school stands, but I was SOOOO proud! After that first play I have to admit I got a little emotional!

They still haven't gotten their jerseys yet, so he is still wearing #91 there in the center. I was surprised that out on that big field he didn't look smaller than those big guys!

There was a couple of times he ended up at the bottom of a very big pile- this shot is of him on the way to the bottom! He played VERY well and (according to Chan) did his job well!

I really liked this shot because of how his arms were out like, "come and get me!" or should I say "who's next?!!" It was so fun to watch him play! Unfortunately they didn't win, but that JV squad is pretty amazing!

Here's a shot of him after the game with his helmet off. I didn't get a closer one because he was with his friends and I didn't want to embarrass him! But the most important things- he played well, held his own against those JV guys and made his family VERY proud!!

Visit from the "Godmom"

Okay first, Yes we are Mormons and yes most Mormons don't have Godparents, but in our family WE DO! Truly, it's more a situation like an aunt that's not really "family" but when my first was born I told Tammy she needed to be like a Godmom to my kids and, like the true friend she is, she took that seriously and has been an amazing friend to me and to each of my kids! They all LOVE her! She loves to torment Carter about girls and staying away from them, she calls Will her own nick name which is "Willer" and loves his stories, and Brianne- well she keeps her in check! When Tammy's around Brianne is a good girl! Brianne just adores her! If Brianne could she would spend tons of time with her! In fact that was her birthday wish a few weeks ago- to spend the night with Tammy! Pretty cute! I am lucky to have such a fun, giving, funny, smart and beautiful friend! Love you Tampa!!!
