A Will story.....

I had to do a quick blog about this story- it's just too funny! So yesterday when the kids got home they had their usual snack and it was time to get into the homework- nothing unusual here- but Will was NOT in a homework mood. I kept trying my hardest- as I worked with Brianne and listened to Carter play the baritone from the basement- to get Will going on his work. But he was just in a bad mood and was not complying to ANY request of mine. So I finally gave up and sent him to his room to read. Well he stormed off and continued his "mood" downstairs and even had some words with his brother who was trying to cheer him up. Meanwhile, I had gone upstairs to fill Chan in on the whole thing and told him I felt maybe Will and I should take a drive so I could talk with him and find out what the heck was bugging him! Obviously something was!!! So Chan started down the stairs to yell for Will and have him go on a ride with me. Will comes up stairs and Chan tells him to go get some shoes on to which he said, "where are we going?" Chan just repeated to go get some shoes. He asked again in a anxious voice, "Where are we going?" and Chan just repeated yet again to just get his shoes on. He did get his shoes on and then Chan called him into the front room ( as I got on my coat ) and sat next to him and said he was going with me and happened to ask him where he thought we were going. his reply?............................ "To see the Bishop?" Chan started laughing and so did I when I heard what it was he said!! I didn't realize the Bishop was so intimidating!! I asked him what he thought the Bishop would do about it, but he didn't know. But I thought that was hilarious! But we did go for that ride, got a drink from sonic, and chatted about how much we don't like math and how we can fix it. He's such a great kid and I can't imagine how he comes up with this stuff- but I am grateful for such a funny kid!! :D

Show those pearly whites....

Well it's that time again...... it's been six months and it was time for Will and Brianne to go to their dentist for checkups! You can tell in the first picture how exited Brianne was- but usually they are SUPER exited because their dentist office is awesome! This is a picture of them in the kids waiting area watching a movie.

This is what they are asked to do first (until they are at least Will's age and then they clean your teeth for you) but they put this pink stuff in your mouth and have you rinse with it so you can SEE where your NOT brushing well enough, and then they watch you brush and "help" you once you have already done it yourself.

Then it's off to the "chair" where they ask if you want to watch a movie or play a video game!!!! And of course my kids always opt for the video game- it's one of their favorites- Mario Cart. The TV screen in mounted in with the ceiling tiles so they can play while they are checking their teeth- so not fair- why couldn't they have had that when I was a kid!

Here is Brianne having her turn in the chair! The only bad thing is that on occasion the dentist will ask them a question and they are so involved in the game with their headphones on that sometimes they don't hear him!

And here is a shot of them after they are all done- and yes the hygienists make them balloon animals or swords when they are done if they were good! So Will got a sword (fitting with his pirate pants don't ya think?) and Brianne got a dog. Brianne is showing off her pearly whites and both of them walked out with NO cavities and because of that were also rewarded with free kids meal certificates to Del Taco! Can you believe this dentist office!! How fun is that??!!!

I love to see the temple....

This past Monday we had the opportunity to go see the new Draper temple with our kids and Chan's Mom Kathy. It was such a neat experience!! It is truly amazing to see how incredibly organized and well done this is! There are thousands of volunteers to make this all happen- not to mention physical facilities like tents, heaters, buses and the like. And in typical LDS fashion refreshments are served EVERY day! But of course the best part was seeing our kids walk through and be shocked at how beautiful everything was and just what everything was LIKE. There was a point when Carter turned around to look at me with this shocked face and I had to smile. It was a wonderful experience for us all and one I am sure we will remember for a lifetime. I look forward to the day when we can all be there together again.
Chan and I also had the privilege to be volunteers today to serve those people going to see the temple. On our morning shifts I worked as an usher in the temple while Chan was an usher on one of the buses shuttling people from one of the Stake Centers to the temple. We then went home for about an hour to eat lunch and went back to the same Stake center he was before to serve there as helpers with the audio visual/ushering. What an amazing experience we had! It was a once in a lifetime opportunity and we may have another chance here next month and we plan to take FULL advantage! In ONE day over the weekend 20,000 people visited the temple! I hope many more will come! I am grateful to have them and can't wait to return to our new temple! :D

"B-Ball" with "D.C."

Here is my cute nephew Dakota Crismon. We came to his Basket ball game tonight to Cheer him on. He plays for the Vipers and they have had a tough season so far, but he always plays his hardest!
Here's a picture of one of his moves- pretty good huh?!!
Here he is playing some big "D"! You go buddy!!
This is the most frustrating spot- the bench. But he cheers on his team very well! The following is a video clip of him from the game. Unfortunately they lost, but not because they didn't play hard! They still have many games left so we'll hope for the best!! GO VIPERS!!

Friends that we call Family....

We have been very blessed to have such amazing friends in our lives- ones that feel more like family than they do friends!! We try to spend as much time with them as we can, but as our families grow and the kids get busier it gets harder to do, but we always manage to do it!! The Skinner's have been a part of our lives since the first days in Eagle Mountain! This is a picture of Maverick- James and Brit finally got their boy (fourth time was a charm!!) and he is a delight!! I LOVE him- he makes me laugh!

Here is a shot of (from right) Sydney, Carter and Mallory all waiting for food at the local Mexican food joint. We all went out to dinner last weekend and had fun. When all our kids get together it's like a bunch of cousins hanging out! And yes Carter was totally pulling a face!

Here is (from right) Brianne, Halle and Will. I guess since Will was by the girls he decided to try and pull a girl face?!!

Here they are all together- aren't they cute kids!! It was a fun night- and we LOVE our friends!

Myles of fun...

This is a picture of my Nephew Myles that is so darn cute! We got to play with him today while his Daddy and Mom were at work. We had a super fun time!
Here is a picture of him playing with Brianne. the little car in his hand was given to him today by my friend Brittany- he wouldn't leave her house without it!
He is so precious and had so much fun playing today- he is a joy to watch!
Here is another picture of him playing with Brianne- she must be pretty funny to him cuz he laughs a lot!!
Here is another shot of him and his new favorite toy! It got left in our truck accidentally when we got home and he was crying- it took us a minute, but Brianne went out to get it and he's been fine since!! (sorry Brooke) He LOVES it!!

Visiting Kay...

On our way to Vegas we made a quick stop to see my Aunt Kay! She looked great and it was very fun to visit her and give her a big hug!

Tam's place...

Whenever we can we love to visit Tammy's place cuz we always have a super fun time! Chan and I stayed a night with her on our way to Vegas and we had our "spa day", some yummy in and out burger, a Chan homemade breakfast (which is always soooo yummy) and lots of laughs! This is a pic Tam took of Chan and I as we were getting ready to head to Vegas.

Chan brought one of his RC cars down with us and was having some fun peeling out in the neighbors gravel!! What do they care right? Hee hee! But seriously the weather there was definitely better for doing this!

Here is a shot of Chan installing Tammy's Christmas present from her Dad- a new printer- and a very nice one at that!! He is very handy in this area!! :)

I can't visit Tam's without getting pic's of her "kids"!! Here is Zoe (all white) and Coco (with a little brown). They are such cuties huh?!!

Here is the other "kid" Nina. Tam has only had her a few months and Chan and I fell in love with her! we could have taken her with us! She is hilarious!! A little diva!

Thanks Tam for an awesome time!! We love you!!

Spa Day!!

This is a picture of the "relaxation room" at the Green Valley Spa in St George- doesn't it LOOK relaxing?

Here is a self taken picture of me and Tammy in front of the Green Valley spa- ( I know, we are too gorgeous for words right?) my wonderful hubby treated us to a "girl spa day" and we got massages and facials!! It was Tam's first time and I think I have hooked her onto something new!! It was awesome- we both left feeling good as new and it was way fun to spend some time with my BESTEST friend!! :) We have so much fun!!
