Will's additions to the blog...

So my little man Will wanted to contribute to my blog- he loves that I have a blog!! So he decided to take a couple of photos and wanted me to add them on. So here goes Will!!!

The first photo is a creation he made from legos- they are an amazing toy don't you think! He loves to create his own things with them. This is a "jet suit" pretty cool huh?!!!

This other picture is of Will's amazing collection of Yu-Gi-Oh cards!! All 86 of them!! he didn't realize he had that m,any until he had them all laid out like this on the floor!! Pretty cool- he wanted to share them all with you!

DAISY'S DAY OUT...

This past Wednesday night the window in the restroom by the laundry room in our home got left open and our cat Daisy decided to venture out. Unfortunately we didn't even notice her escape!

It wasn't until the next morning that Carter realized the window was still open and that they had not seen her that morning. So they immediately went out to the back yard to see if they could find her.
But our Daisy had appeared to have ventured farther than our yard because we continued to check for her later that day, but still no sign. The kids were getting really upset, especially Brianne who cried quite a bit. I was really afraid that she was gone and not coming back, and Chan felt the same way.
But on Thursday evening before I went to bed I let our dog Chloe out to go potty and Carter and I were chatting in the kitchen when I realized I needed to let her back in. When I looked at the back door at Chloe- there was a little friend right next to her!! It was Daisy!! I couldn't believe it!! I was ready to accept her being gone- when she showed up again! We don't know where she went or what her adventure was, but we are glad to have her back home!!

ALTA BLACK BANQUET

Well it's finally over....... Carter had his banquet last weekend and it was a really fun event. His team has such an amazing season and the banquet was the cherry on top! The team Mom had jackets made for the boys (for those who wanted them) and Carter is wearing it in this picture. It says Alta Football State champs 11-0 on the pocket. He was very exited to get that!! And I got one for Will as well, but his does not say state champs on it.
Here is a shot of all the coaches and their boys. I thought it was neat the way they did that- they acknowledged all the other boys first and then had all the coaches sons come up together at the end. They still spoke about them individually, but I thought that was cool.
This is coach Hill thanking Chan for helping out with coaching, as he did with all of them. He also gave them a gift- which is a book called "Season of Life" it is a book he uses often in his coaching style.
Here is a shot of the boys all watching the DVD that was put together. Usually these things are just photo slide shows of the games and such, but this one was AMAZING!!! There was a camera crew following Carter's team for most of the season- apparently it was done for the district and we don't know exactly what for- but the things he captured on film were awesome! I paid to get a copy so whenever you are here with us- we'll have to watch it cuz WOW! It's like little league ESPN!!
Here is our Man!! I guess a center can never be without a ball huh? We are so proud of you dude! You have come a long way and we can't wait to see what you bring to your talent next year! We love ya man!!

Carter's starstruck!!

So Carter and Chan had the opportunity to go to the University of Utah "blackout" game against TCU on November 6th and were VERY exited!! They went with Brain Barnhill a coach on Carter's football team and his son Mason who plays with Carter. When the game was over they rushed the field and got to meet some of the players and even got some underarmour arm bands from some of them, but the best part was getting to take this picture with Matt Asiata who plays running back for the Utes. I think you can see in Carter's face how starstruck he is!! He was SOOOOOOO exited to have gotten to meet him!! And he has the picture to prove it!! Go UTES!!

ALTA WHITE BANQUET

s

Here is Will with his major happy face on!! It was his first ever football banquet and he was very exited! it was held at Rock Creek Pizza here in Sandy. There was some great pizza yummy salad- and I think Will's favorite part was that he could have some Mountain Dew!!

Here is Will with his wonderful head coach- Coach Henriod! I LOVE this coach!! He is such a stud! And there were 4 other coaches as well and they were equally as great. Will learned a lot from them, and thankfully Coach Henriod is moving up to coach Pee Wee next year- so we're gonna hope we end up with him again!!

Here's the whole gang and their coaches. From Coach Henriod it goes to Coach Jansson, Coach Saxton, Coach weeks and then Coach Toleman. And you can't beat all those cute boys!! Such a fun sport!! Will is over on the right in this picture :)

The video clip below is Coach Henriod talking specifically about Will and what he contributed to the team. The first thing he said which I didn't totally get because I was slow to start the camera- is that he gave Will the name "Mr. Saturday Night" and he was telling why that was, as well as some other things about our little man!! :) (PS- he accidentally calls him "Ormond" in there, but his wife corrects him shortly after- hee hee)

THANKS COACH!!

Well, it was Saturday night about 10:30 when the doorbell rang....... and..........well we went to the door to discover that a few of Carter's team members had left a bit of a surprise for Chan. We found these signs above and below stuck into the grass-
This one was stuck into the bark around our light.........
And this is what the porch looked like......... they couldn't leave IT untouched right? Hee hee
And this is what the rest of the front yard looked like! It was awesome! We were very touched by their "Thank You" ! They are such good boys and it is a wonderful team- we have all sorts of emotions with the season being over, but this was a sweet surprise! Thanks guys!!
And way to go Chan on coaching a fabulous season- the boys really LOVE you!!

Alta Black Takes State!!

STATE CHAMPS!!!!! That's right- Alta Black beat Brighton 13 to 6 to WIN STATE!! They had a truly amazing season....it could NOT have been more dreamy! They were able to make it all the way to state undefeated- not many players could say that! 12-0 including their 1 pre-season game! To say it has been fun is an understatement! I always love football season and watching Carter play, but watching THIS team this year has been like being on the dream team in the Olympics! Carter has come so far since he started two years ago. He has learned a lot from all his coaches, but this year his coaches were top of the line. Really good men who wanted them to play their best but also be good people. Today's game is the proof of that- they wouldn't be here without them (and yes that means you too Chan!!) I have been tearing up a lot today- giving my boy a hug after the win and having him say to me "we did it Mom" is one the of proudest moments I have had as a Mom! Watching him play his guts out in that game was awesome- he was everywhere today and if he couldn't get there his hand was in the air to try and get whatever was coming. I am amazed at what he can do- his snaps were all perfect too. Carter YOU DA MAN!! I LOVE you Bubba and am VERY proud to share in your victory!!

Alta White takes 2nd in state!

WOW!!! What a great way to end an amazing season! Alta white made it to the State Championship and played Hunter today and they played their hearts out!! There were definitely some memorable moments, but unfortunately they lost to Hunter 28-0. But I am so proud of Will and all he has accomplished this season! We weren't even sure he was ready to play football, but boy he proved us wrong!! He's an awesome player and we look forward to next year and watching him again! Hopefully he will be able to play for the same coaches because they could not have been more fantastic! We LOVED all of them! What a season Alta White and way to play today Will- it was great to see you get on that ball during the kick return and you also had some great tackles today! We love ya buddy!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIANNE!!!!!!

Here is Brianne with one of the many presents she got for her Birthday! She had been saying for a few weeks that she wanted a cupcake maker and it wasn't something I would have gotten, but I guess she wanted it bad enough that she got one!! Or maybe it's just that she is so cute it's tough to say NO!
Here is one of the presents we got- a littlest pets clubhouse! I think these are really cute! And her, Will and Carter had some fun playing with it that day!! :)
This is her the morning of her birthday! Chan and I always leave the presents out on the kitchen counter- sort of like Christmas morning only it's their birthday! They really love that!
Here is Brianne being a bit silly with her friends during her birthday party. She put her face into her cake- geez- she is such a geek!! but she does look good in purple frosting!! :)
Here she is with her Spider birthday cake! Super cute!! It was a very fun party and we are very proud of our cute little Brianne! She is very smart, an awesome reader, great singer, good friend, and very talented artist! WE LOVE YOU BRIANNE- happy 7th birthday!!

HALLOWEEN!!!

Isn't Carter frightening?!!! Chan bought this mask last year to scare the kids and Carter thought it would work out good for him- he LOVES to be scary and always has!!
Here is BATMAN!! Doesn't he looked ripped!! He was so exited about this costume- he bought it all by himself!! Way to go Will!! And I must say he looks pretty darn good!!
Here is Brianne in her Dead Pirate costume!! This was Will's costume last year and it fit her perfectly! She had a choice of this costume or to be pretty princess Belle again and she chose the pirate!! I think she is going to be like her big brother Carter and always want to be something scary! You go Brianne!!
This is the kids eating our usual Halloween fare- Mema's Chili!! We always feed it to the kids before they head out to trick or treat. Chan remembers doing that back when he was a kid! Crazy!! But truthfully I LOVE to follow in traditions that families have started, so we'll be doing this one till we have grand kids I am sure!! Thank heaven's it's good chili!!

Here are the kids as well as Annie and Dakota and Brooke and Myles. we had a lot of fun trick or treating! We got a late start so we didn't get a ton of candy, but it was still a fun time!! We have the perfect neighborhood for going door to door and sometimes we even run into friends on our way!! :)

Thanks Grandma Panko & Pa Boo!!

Here is Brianne opening her presents from her
Grandma Panko and Pa Boo! She was VERY
exited to open them and thrilled with all of it
