Can you guess what this post is about?

Well yes once again I bet you guessed it and I am posting about FOOTBALL!! Hey all I can say is that right now we pretty much eat, sleep and breathe football! But to be involved like we want to be with our kids- that's just how it goes! And obviously we love it- I am like my kids paparazzi! Anyway!!! Will's game this week was a big one against Tooele who was also undefeated and Will was able to be a Captain and was very excited! Tom and Kathy took him to his game for me so I could go to Carter's game and they were very glad to report that Will had gotten his first sack!! So that is why he is pictured with the video game- we had told him if he got any tackles in the back field or a sack he could get a new video game- so there it is!! He's been loving figuring it all out! And to top it all off his team won and are still undefeated! Woo hoo!
Our little Brianne wasn't able to cheer on Saturday because she has been sick, so she came and just sat with me and kept me company. But I KNOW she was itching to get out there and cheer!
Carter's game was against Park City and they were feeling pretty confident that it would go their way and yeah they were right. They crushed Park City 47 to 0!
Carter was able to play offense and defense which he doesn't always do. He is usually on offense only, so he was having fun!
His team is doing well also. They have had a couple of losses but are still fighting for their position in the playoffs!
I love this picture! You can tell he is having fun!! :)
I took this shot when they were in their huddle before they went back on the field after half time. ( I love my new camera!! Thanks again babe!!)
In the second half Carter got to play center a little bit. he played center all last year, but hasn't played much of that this year. He was enjoying doing it again!!
It was a good win- I did feel a little bad for park City though!
However the best news this week came on Wednesday morning when the A1 team coach for Alta called and Asked Carter if he would join them at the National Youth Football Championship game in Las Vegas on Thanksgiving day!! It's such an amazing opportunity for him and to say he is excited is an understatement!! So our whole family is traveling down there and spending Thanksgiving day watching OUR SON play football! WOW!! Can we say PROUD!!! Here is a link to the official web page for the NYFC championship. We are the western division!

Feeling good

Last week was Carter's BIG game against Hunter and their team had a great practice week so they were ready!! His game and Will's were at the exact same time, so Chan and I were texting fools to keep track of each others games. Thankfully they were both doing well by the half!
I pulled a couple of older pics of Carter since I wasn't there- but it turned out to be quite a heated game! But thankfully Carter's team came out on top and they REALLY needed this win to get into the playoffs! Way to go guys!! And from what Chan said Carter had a great game! Way to go dude!!
This is a picture I snapped of Carter and Brianne before they left for their game- I think it's cute how much they look alike! And it's a great picture! And as always Brianne and her fellow cheerleaders did a great job too!
Will had a great day too- he was exited because he was asked to play center last Saturday because the usual center was out of town. So he practiced as center all week and was ready to go! There he is right in the middle!
This game was ALL ALTA!! I was feeling bad for Grantsville by the end! We had two interceptions that got ran in for touchdowns as well as a few more to get the score to 39 to 0 for us! WOW!! All the while Will was playing center and even got in a few downs as a defender! In this shot he is right next to the big guy in the center.
It was a fun game to watch and our boys did great!! I believe this was one of the touchdown runs- ran in by Jenner Allen- he's the one with the ball in the picture.
But the best part came AFTER the game when the head coach acknowledged the great job the stand in center had done (without saying his name- although Will was already smiling ear to ear) because there were no missed snaps all game! He praised Will for a job well done and named him a Captain for next weeks HUGE game with Tooele! I was sooooo proud!! Way to go Will!! :) Only a few more weeks to go! Can't wait to see where the team end up!

Ultimate Alta fans...

Well this past weekend it was an Ultimate Alta Fan sort of weekend!! I started out my day at Will's game along with Chan, Carter, Brianne, Tom and Kathy! We all came out to watch Will in action playing West!
He had a good day and played well! I think that Papa Tom took this shot! Pretty good one too!
Even though Will was playing pretty well- it never hurts to get some "help" from Coach Dad.
Going in for the kill! Hee hee! After Will's team won yet again Chan and Carter headed out to get ready for his game and Brianne, Will, me and Tom and Kathy all headed straight over to Dakota's lacrosse game! I have never watched one before, but hey I could still yell GO ALTA!! He had two games that day- one loss and one tie. He did well and was occasionally showing off for his fans! Gotta love that!
Here he is in ACTION! He is number 50 heading straight at us in this picture :)
It was really fun to be able to catch a bit of Dakota's second game before heading out to see Carter's game against Bingham- which is always a big one. It was a tough game to watch! Thank heaven's for the darling cheerleaders!! They even did their new dance during half time! I was so grateful to have them to put a smile on my face because Carter's team was struggling. But at least I FINALLY got to get some pictures of Carter!! YAY! Here is a photo slide show of his game.... and by the way the cheering section moved on to Carter's game because we were all there as well as Annie, Gerardo, Dakota, Tom and Kathy! Ultimate Alta Fans for sure!! Unfortunately they didn't pull out the win, but we'll keep plugging along! Go Alta!!

Being Christian is like being a pumpkin

Happy Fall !!!!!!!!

Being a Christian is like being a pumpkin. God lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. He opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff - including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc. Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside you to shine for the entire world to see. This was passed on to me from another pumpkin. Now, it is your turn to pass it to a pumpkin. I liked this enough to share it with all the pumpkins in my patch. Happy Fall!

(Thanks Heather for sending this to me!!)

ONE and ONE

Well once again I was an hour and a half drive away from home at Will's game so before I left a snapped a couple of shots of Coach Crismon, Cheerleader Brianne, and football player Carter! I feel bad that I have been missing their games, but next week I will be at BOTH!! Yay!

Carter played really well as did his team, but unfortunately they lost 18 to 13 to East. We are hoping it was an eye opener and from here on out will have their game on! Either way Carter is ready for his Heisman trophy- can't you tell! :)
Will's team played Park City and it was COLD!! the high was only around 43 degrees, which wouldn't have been too bad if it wasn't so windy!!
Will is such a team player- he spent most of this game right where he is in this photo, but he was cheering on his team the whole time!
He has been playing more defense these past few games and I always love to see him play that because he gets more vocal! I can usually hear him grunting from the sidelines!
But all in all it was a good game because they won 26 to 7! So it was ONE win and ONE loss- keep it going Alta!!

View from the porch

Oh how lucky I am- these pictures are the view from my front porch!! You can barely see in the bottom right of the pic the roof of my neighbors house, but truly when you sit on my porch this is what you get to look at! Pretty amazing! Especially in the fall when all the colors are popping out! I LOVE it!!
I will have to take pics again when they are covered with snow! It won't be long! :)
