It's rough...

Boy it is rough when you have two boys and a cheerleader playing and you have to split as parents to get to the games.... :( This week I was forced to miss Carter and Brianne again because Will's game was way up north again- and unfortunately will be again next week!! AAARRGGGG but at least we can say that they both won again!! And another bonus was that Kathy made the drive up last Saturday to help me cheer him on! Thanks kath! And thanks to Grandma and grandpa Gilbert, Annie, Gerardo, Dakota, Jenni and her gang for all making it to Carter and Brianne's game! :) That's the plus I suppose! Don't you just love this picture of Will! It's amazing!
It's been a rough couple of weeks for Will- he has not been starting- but he is trying sooo hard to get his starting position back!
There was some really BIG kids on this Skyline team!!
Go get 'em Will!!!
This was a fun game to watch! Even had an interception that got ran in for a touchdown! And I hear that Carter was playing some great defense and caused a fumble! Woo hoo!
A great job by all!!
Thanks again Gamma for driving all that way to watch!!
And as for me- I am a die hard football fan for my kids! Wish I didn't have to miss ANY, but hopefully I will be able to get to Carter's after next week! :) GOOOOOO ALTA!!

Chalk up two more...

Well after Tammy's visit a few weeks ago and Chan watching me salivate all over the pictures she took of Carter at his football game he decided to upgrade our camera! He went and got me one very similar to hers and I LOVE IT!! You will be able to tell with the shots I got of Will during his game- so here we go! (THANKS BABE- LOVE YA!!) Here is will breaking away from a tackle to pursue the guy with the ball!
Aren't these shots so much better!
He broke through pretty good here! Go defense!
I love being able to see his facial expressions!
This one is my favorite! He wasn't the one to make the tackle, but it was a great shot either way!

He looks tired in this one! They all worked pretty dang hard and got a great win over Riverton 20 to 7!
Here is Brianne with two of her friends on the cheer squad- aren't they so cute!
They decided to practice their dance before the game so I snapped a shot of her while she was dancing!
You can tell she loves to cheer!! Go Brianne!
Unfortunately I wasn't able to see any of Carter's game because Will's game was over an hour drive away, but I went to see them for a few minutes before it started so I snapped these during their warm up.
He loves to do hitting drills.....well he just LOVES to hit! :)
This is Carter and his team mate Puefua- he's a big kid huh? I love that kid!! Carter's team pulled out a narrow 1 point victory over Riverton as well! Way to go guys!! Can't wait for next week! :)

Playing, Cheering and Playing some more...

I don't think there is anything more fun for a boy than to strap on some pads and a helmet and hit somebody!! You can tell that from this picture of Will- he LOVES to play and this week they played Bingham- one of their toughest rivals!!
After halftime the boys ran through the sign and Will was one of them that got to bust it out! That's him behind the paper!
They played real hard and had a great game. There were a few errors here and there, but it was their first game and considering all the jitters they did great!
Chan helped give Will some advice to get tough out there- which he does as much as he can! But it seems they all got tough because they won 20 to 0!! Go Alta Grey!
It's tough sometimes being a Mom and not knowing enough about football to be helpful (I am not like you Heather!) but I have found my calling as a team Mom/cheerleader! Ever seen Mary Murphy on "So You think You Can Dance"? Well my screams are much like hers! And I also make things like this tunnel that I created using ribbon, tape and a hula hoop! I made three of them to run through before they get through the sign! :)
Here's the sign they ran through. I help make these too- but this one was made by my friend Natalie. And we also make treats for the pep rallies on Fridays which I am doing today as a matter of fact!
But right now our best cheerleader would have to be Brianne! She LOVES it and it's mostly thanks to Jodie her cheer coach- she is so fun and the girls love her! How about that form!!
I couldn't resist getting a photo of Brianne with her cute bows and make-up! Life's so fun when you can perform!
As much as we can we feel it is important for the boys to cheer each other on, so Carter and Brianne came all dressed for their game to Will's game to cheer him on and help him out. Carter is very good at helping his brother and giving him advice- so cute!
And of course Chan and I come too- but this is one of the rare times that Chan will be able to go to Will's game. His next few games are quite a distance so he won't be able to go and I won't be able to see Carters :(
Here is a shot of Will cheering on his brother at HIS game!
And of course as we travel from one game to another I am still cheering on my kids because this is the new sticker on the back window of my truck! Don't you LOVE it! :)
This is what Carter does every week before a game. He puts on his i-pod and listens to music to get his blood flowing! He has a few favorites of course and they are all metal!
Regardless of what he has to do to get pumped up it does seem to work! He had a great game on Saturday!
Here he is running to get to the line for his next play!
His team is doing well- according to Chan they have some things to work on- but that's always the case. In fact their team motto this year is C.A.N.I. (say it like can I)- which stands for Constant and Never ending Improvement. True isn't it!! I am sure they will continue to improve but this game they won 41 to 14.
Brianne was cheering her heart away during this game! We were sitting in the stands and I could hear her plain as day! (I know- no surprise there) And she did a great job as usual!!
Each game the girls all come out on to the field at half time to do their "hello" cheer! They all say their names and do a stunt. The video below is part of that cheer and you can see Brianne cheering! So fun!! GO ALTA!!!

Our mountain adventure

See this cute guy right here?..... He is AWESOME!! I am so lucky to have him as MY hubby! We had so much fun this past Labor Day weekend- between Tammy coming up, going to football games and finally going up to Snowbird resort for some yummy brunch and a tram ride. This is a picture of Chan while we were there- don't you love the new glasses?!!
You can't beat the canyons here- only a 20 minute drive from our house to this beautiful landscape! So amazing!
When we were there Oktoberfest was also going on. the kids couldn't pass up putting their faces into this picture board- pretty funny actually!
Tam was a bit nervous on the tram- not loving the heights aspect- and I have to admit I was even a bit nervous! But we all had fun!
Here is a shot of Will and Brianne in their goofy hats dad bought them looking down at the trees.
This was a shot of the other tram going down while we were going up. Isn't it pretty!!
Chan was LOVING it!! Carter was too- but you can't tell that looking at this shot!
This is a picture from 11,000 above sea level! Crazy! And again a beautiful scene!!
I snapped this one right before we went back down on the tram. It was such a great time and can't wait to do that again! Thanks Chan!!! Wub you!

GO ALTA!!!

Yay! It's that time of year again and I find myself going to lots and lots of football games! Today was Carter's first game against Skyline and he was totally ready!! :)
It was also the first game for Brianne as a cheerleader!! She is the third one in from the right in this picture- she did such a great job! These girls are darling!!
Tammy came up this weekend to see the boys play- unfortunately Will's team had a by- but we were able to come and cheer on Carter and Brianne! :)
Will is such a good brother and came to cheer them both on and had a lot of fun!
It's tough getting a good shot of Carter since he plays on the line, but he's in the middle on the right in this one- GOOOOOO Carter!
Here is a good shot of our cute cheer girl!! She LOVES cheering them on!! GOOOO Brianne!!
Doesn't Carter look tough with his painted face?!! OOOHHH SCARY!! (dude- it helps if you don't smile!!) Either way it's great cuz you won 20 to 6!!
On Friday night we went to cheer on the Alta High football team against Timp View- it was s fun time and they kicked butt- of course!! :)
Here are the cute guys that were sitting in front of me!
Here's me and Tam! WUB her! Thanks for coming to cheer with me!! :)
