Playing, Cheering and Playing some more...

I don't think there is anything more fun for a boy than to strap on some pads and a helmet and hit somebody!! You can tell that from this picture of Will- he LOVES to play and this week they played Bingham- one of their toughest rivals!!
After halftime the boys ran through the sign and Will was one of them that got to bust it out! That's him behind the paper!
They played real hard and had a great game. There were a few errors here and there, but it was their first game and considering all the jitters they did great!
Chan helped give Will some advice to get tough out there- which he does as much as he can! But it seems they all got tough because they won 20 to 0!! Go Alta Grey!
It's tough sometimes being a Mom and not knowing enough about football to be helpful (I am not like you Heather!) but I have found my calling as a team Mom/cheerleader! Ever seen Mary Murphy on "So You think You Can Dance"? Well my screams are much like hers! And I also make things like this tunnel that I created using ribbon, tape and a hula hoop! I made three of them to run through before they get through the sign! :)
Here's the sign they ran through. I help make these too- but this one was made by my friend Natalie. And we also make treats for the pep rallies on Fridays which I am doing today as a matter of fact!
But right now our best cheerleader would have to be Brianne! She LOVES it and it's mostly thanks to Jodie her cheer coach- she is so fun and the girls love her! How about that form!!
I couldn't resist getting a photo of Brianne with her cute bows and make-up! Life's so fun when you can perform!
As much as we can we feel it is important for the boys to cheer each other on, so Carter and Brianne came all dressed for their game to Will's game to cheer him on and help him out. Carter is very good at helping his brother and giving him advice- so cute!
And of course Chan and I come too- but this is one of the rare times that Chan will be able to go to Will's game. His next few games are quite a distance so he won't be able to go and I won't be able to see Carters :(
Here is a shot of Will cheering on his brother at HIS game!
And of course as we travel from one game to another I am still cheering on my kids because this is the new sticker on the back window of my truck! Don't you LOVE it! :)
This is what Carter does every week before a game. He puts on his i-pod and listens to music to get his blood flowing! He has a few favorites of course and they are all metal!
Regardless of what he has to do to get pumped up it does seem to work! He had a great game on Saturday!
Here he is running to get to the line for his next play!
His team is doing well- according to Chan they have some things to work on- but that's always the case. In fact their team motto this year is C.A.N.I. (say it like can I)- which stands for Constant and Never ending Improvement. True isn't it!! I am sure they will continue to improve but this game they won 41 to 14.
Brianne was cheering her heart away during this game! We were sitting in the stands and I could hear her plain as day! (I know- no surprise there) And she did a great job as usual!!
Each game the girls all come out on to the field at half time to do their "hello" cheer! They all say their names and do a stunt. The video below is part of that cheer and you can see Brianne cheering! So fun!! GO ALTA!!!

Our mountain adventure

See this cute guy right here?..... He is AWESOME!! I am so lucky to have him as MY hubby! We had so much fun this past Labor Day weekend- between Tammy coming up, going to football games and finally going up to Snowbird resort for some yummy brunch and a tram ride. This is a picture of Chan while we were there- don't you love the new glasses?!!
You can't beat the canyons here- only a 20 minute drive from our house to this beautiful landscape! So amazing!
When we were there Oktoberfest was also going on. the kids couldn't pass up putting their faces into this picture board- pretty funny actually!
Tam was a bit nervous on the tram- not loving the heights aspect- and I have to admit I was even a bit nervous! But we all had fun!
Here is a shot of Will and Brianne in their goofy hats dad bought them looking down at the trees.
This was a shot of the other tram going down while we were going up. Isn't it pretty!!
Chan was LOVING it!! Carter was too- but you can't tell that looking at this shot!
This is a picture from 11,000 above sea level! Crazy! And again a beautiful scene!!
I snapped this one right before we went back down on the tram. It was such a great time and can't wait to do that again! Thanks Chan!!! Wub you!

GO ALTA!!!

Yay! It's that time of year again and I find myself going to lots and lots of football games! Today was Carter's first game against Skyline and he was totally ready!! :)
It was also the first game for Brianne as a cheerleader!! She is the third one in from the right in this picture- she did such a great job! These girls are darling!!
Tammy came up this weekend to see the boys play- unfortunately Will's team had a by- but we were able to come and cheer on Carter and Brianne! :)
Will is such a good brother and came to cheer them both on and had a lot of fun!
It's tough getting a good shot of Carter since he plays on the line, but he's in the middle on the right in this one- GOOOOOO Carter!
Here is a good shot of our cute cheer girl!! She LOVES cheering them on!! GOOOO Brianne!!
Doesn't Carter look tough with his painted face?!! OOOHHH SCARY!! (dude- it helps if you don't smile!!) Either way it's great cuz you won 20 to 6!!
On Friday night we went to cheer on the Alta High football team against Timp View- it was s fun time and they kicked butt- of course!! :)
Here are the cute guys that were sitting in front of me!
Here's me and Tam! WUB her! Thanks for coming to cheer with me!! :)

{ 2nd, 5th and 8th }

Well it's hard to believe but the school year has come! And the craziest part is that I have a 2nd grader, 5th grader and 8th grader!! It's the 8th grader that has me especially freaked out! It won't be long and he'll be in high school! WOW!! But until then I get to enjoy this year and this cute shot of them together on their first day back to school!
Here is Carter- my handsome 8th grader! Don't you love the cool clothes! He picked them out himself!! Did pretty well didn't he!! But I get to take credit for the new backpack- I picked it out:)
Here is Will in his cool duds with his new backpack! I picked out that shirt for him- it just totally reminded me of him! Don't you agree?! :)
Here is beautiful Brianne- getting so big! She is sooooo excited about school starting again! She is a smarty pants too! And was VERY excited to wear this cute new outfit! :) Good luck you guys I love ya!!

Who's it gonna be?

One of my favorite things about the kids elementary school is that they post what teacher they have a week before school starts on the doors of the school! So after much anticipation Brianne was running to the 2nd grade doors to see what teacher she got!
This is her staring at the lists trying to figure out who it would be- she was hoping for Mrs. Moss!
YES success!!! She was soooooo exited to see that she got Mrs. Moss!! Just who she wanted and her good friend Whitnee was in there too! woo hoo!
So now that they knew what teachers they had and summer was coming to a close- we decided we had to do something fun the last day of their summer vacation! So we went to Ihop for breakfast first...
There is just nothing better than Ihop pancakes!! And we were sad that Dad couldn't come with us- dang work!!
And of course you can't go to breakfast there without getting their "kid coffee"- good old hot chocolate!!
The kids all ate their yummy breakfast and then we went home for a bit to digest...
Then it was time for Carter to go to his workout and we all waited for him to be done so we could go and do our next activity...
After he was done we all went to All Star Lanes and played two games of bowling!! It was so fun and the perfect way to end summer vacation!
It was the best way to get our silliness out and prepare ourselves for a schedule and homework and all that again! Thanks kids for a fun day! :) Good luck in school!
