ROBOT BABY ARRIVED!
Brianne is taking a child development class and part of the class requirement is taking care of a robot baby for 48 hours. It is programmed with all types of reasons to cry etc. and they have to take care of it. It also records all the data during this time as well. So you can just stick it in a closet and let it cry itself out! Haha!
This picture was taken not long after the baby got home with her. It was kinda cute and she felt like she had it handled. About an hour or two later that changed! Man she hated that thing! She was frustrated, she felt like it was broken, she couldn't get it to stop crying etc etc!! I have to say I was frustrated along with her! I kept telling her that this was pretty accurate, but she DID NOT like that response!! Haha! However, the good news is that she survived having the robot baby and she passed her class with flying colors! Yay!!

The Crismon's took over church for the day! Will spoke in sacrament meeting followed by me, then Brianne sang a song and Carter ended the meeting. It was a super proud Mom moment. Chan had been asked to speak but since he was still recovering from surgery he asked Carter to do it. Chan was there to see the talks though which was very nice. Every single talk and music was wonderful. I look around at my kids and am in awe of them. They are truly incredible people!! I am so blessed! I will remember this day forever!

Date Olympics! Carter came up with this idea to have a group date at our place with his friends and their dates. It's the date olympics and they will do several challenges throughout the night. He asked for our help and we were all over it! The first challenge was to make a pizza!
I think Chan and I may have gone a bit overboard but we wanted them to have A LOT of different ingredients to choose from! This was quite the spread!
They went to work deciding what to make and each couple had to make a pizza together!
Carter asked Kimberlee who had just returned from her mission (the same one Carter served in) a week ago to join him. She is darling and had great ideas for their pizza!
Jaden and Elder Thornock (I think) who also served in the same mission, also joined them in the date night with their dates.
I'm not gonna lie these pizzas turned out SO GOOD! All of them were very tasty!! It was super hard to decide on a winner!!
I think they were excited to eat them too!
Can't you tell that from the photos! Haha!
After choosing the winner for this they went on to play other games etc and I do remember that the overall winners were Jaden and his date. But winning didn't REALLY matter, what DID matter was that they all had a very good time!
They were at the house till late into the night and I loved hearing all the laughing and chatting going on! It was music to my ears!

Chan's surgery today and hopefully his LAST! James and Carter were able to give Chan a blessing last night so we feel as good as we can about heading in this morning for the procedure. At this point I just want him to be pain free!
This time around Brianne didn't want me to be alone so she decided to skip school and to come and stay with me while Chan was in getting the surgery. We got him all checked in with the nurses and did all the usual stuff.
Brianne even gave her Dad a little message on his board! After they got him checked in we said goodbye as they wheeled him up to surgery. Brianne and I decided to go and get some breakfast at the cafeteria while we waited. We got there, got our food and sat down and I got a call on my phone. It was the surgical nurse and she told us that the surgery had been postponed a bit because the general surgeon who would be preparing the belly for his other surgeon was still finishing another procedure. So we inhaled our food and went up to meet Chan in a waiting area. This room was terrible, truthfully. It was like being in a closet! It was hot, there was no bathroom or TV and we barely fit in there. We were in this room for over 2 hours! Chan hadn't eaten or had any meds so he was in so much pain. It was awful. Thankfully, they were finally ready and took him in to get the surgery.
After a couple hours Dr Berry finally popped in to let us know how it all went. I was releived to see that as he was approaching me he was smiling! He said all went exactly as planned and that he should have no more problems from here on out! YAAAAYYYY!!!!
I was so happy! I was also happy that this doctor was putting Chan's needs before his own- he didn't charge us at all for his services on the last two procedures. He felt it shouldn't have happened at all (which is shouldn't have) so he did the right thing and didn't ask for compensation. I wish that was true for all the OTHER doctors and staff, but we know it was necessary to get him better.
When he woke up after the surgery he immediately smiled and said the pain was gone. I am sure some of the reason was that the anesthesia was still wearing off, but either way it was just wonderful to see him smile and not hurting anymore.
He stayed overnight so they could monitor him, with all the delays of the day he didn't get done until evening, so it was necessary.
Here's the winning smile! Hopefully this is the LAST one of these for this guy!!! I love you Chan and am so grateful you're feeling better!

It's that time of year again! Time to audition to sing at the Bees game! And this year Brianne sang for herself and also sang with her Hawkappella club from Alta!
Here is the kids that came with the club to audition. They were excited and were very patient during a long wait!
I went in with them to their audition and they did an incredible job! I wasn't surprised! They are a very talented bunch!
Brianne also did a beautiful job! Her friend Christian also did a solo audition and was wonderful. Now the waiting begins!! :)
***Update- she was asked to sing at the August 10th game!! YAAAAYYY! The Hawkappella group also got a date to sing but unfortunately we were out of town when they sang! Bummer!

Went to the Dr for Chan's follow up from surgery. Good news is that he is healed and is ready to go and get the other procedure done that will fix the nerve pain issue. All this time he has been working from home and has been an absolute trooper. I know he is hurting a lot and I am so glad he is going to be able to get this fixed! His surgery is scheduled for March 6th! Yay!!!
Shooting Day!
I forgot to post a while back that Chan took the boys to go shooting. They had been wanting to go for quite a while and finally got him to do it!
Of course they had to go big and get an AR to shoot too! They had a lot of fun!
It was Will'd first time shooting an AR so he was pretty excited!
The pictures I grabbed off their Snapchat because of course no one took any photos other than that! LOL!
This one was especially funny!
This is the gun they rented.
I think Will's face says it all! I am glad that they had fun together! I think it is important that they go and have some "guy time" together now and then!
