On Sept 24th Will's Alta Red team played the Herriman Navy team. It was what they call a crossover game because their level of play was at a higher level than ours. In simpler terms they were an A team and we are a B team. So we knew going in that it was going to be a rough game.
We also heard before the game that this team had already scored over a hundred points this season and no one had scored on them.... yikes!
It was evident in the first 30 seconds in the game that all we heard about them was true! They had already scored on us and they kept on coming!
In the first half we did manage to score on them, but our guys were looking defeated quickly.
During the half the coaches gave them the pep talk of a lifetime and told them to go to battle! Which I loved! And when they came out after that they played with more intensity and fire than ever! We managed to score on them one more time but without the extra point.
Unfortunately though they scored a lot more and the final was 47 to 13. It was a tough loss and watching the film a day or two later we could see where we had made some pretty bad mistakes. But sometimes we learn the most from games like this. Let's just hope the next one is a HUGE victory! Heads up guys! :)(And we are STILL the only team to have scored on them!)

Yeah, I was just going to say that!! I think it's impressive that you scored on them at all. I would be really proud of that!
