Well believe it or not it's that time of year again! Football is gearing up! Actually for Carter it has been going on for months. He has started working out at a place called Flex Athletic Performance with some guys that played for the University of Utah who then went on to play in the NFL. Brian
Madsen is the guy who started the place and he is amazing! He has been working with Carter and a couple of his friends and teaching them skills as well as some major intense workouts! Carter's been loving it! But this past week it was time for High School football camp at Snow College. He was excited for it this year because he went last year and now he knew what to expect and he was ready!

They work them really hard all week and they scrimmage against other high schools as well as doing some one on one drills. Carter wasn't totally sure where he would end up this year. It was either the Sophomore team again as a starter or play up to JV, so this week was his chance to show what he had!

We went down on Saturday morning along with Chan's parents to see the scrimmages and to find out where he was playing. We were thrilled to see him as the starting left
guard for the Sophomore team!
YAY!! He is going to be playing with a ton of his friends from little league and is thrilled! He was also playing as the back up center that week as well. We couldn't be more proud of him! So now it's a 2 week break before
mandatory conditioning starts!

I loved this picture Chan got of him coming off the field. He is truly IN LOVE with this sport! He loves it and is truly driven to play for a division 1 team. His goal is to play for the University of Utah and if he stays focused I am positive he can achieve it!

The ride home was fun too- it's my favorite part- because Carter tells us all the funny stories of all the happenings in the dorms! There's always some real good ones and this year did not
disappoint!

Overall we are just super proud parents of a great kid who worked real hard and got the position he wanted! Way to go dude! We love you!!

He really DOES look like a fan of the sport (he just looks the part!). I think it's great he has something he really loves to be involved in.
